Setting your Availability
Log into WhenIWork and hover your cursor over your profile in the top right corner to reveal a drop down menu.
Select "My Availability" from the list.
This will open a calendar. If you hover your mouse over any day, you will see the option to add Preference.
Use this window to mark any times that you are in class or otherwise unavailable to work on that given day. Make sure "I'm Unavailable to Work" is selected. Post Managers will not schedule you during this time.
If your commitment repeats weekly (like a class) you can set it to repeat here as well.
Click save. You should see your unavailable hours listed accordingly on the calendar, like below.
Now, repeat the process for your preferred working hours (if you have a preference). Post Managers will try to take your preferences into account when creating a schedule, but your hours are not guaranteed to be within this window. When you open the "Add Preference" window, you should see the option "I Prefer to Work"
Fill out your preferences and click Save. Again, check to make sure your preferences are reflected on the calendar. Gray means unavailable, Green means preferred hours.
Repeat this process for each day of the week - then you've successfully set your availability!
You can always edit your availability later - hover your mouse over any preference on the calendar to reveal the "edit" button.
When your manager publishes shifts, you should receive an email to let you know.
When you see this email, log into WhenIWork. A window will pop-up to let you know that you need to confirm your new shifts, like below
Just click "Confirm Shifts." If you click "Remind Me Later" then you will have to navigate to your schedule and confirm shifts individually.
Viewing your Schedule
Hover your cursor over your profile in the top right corner to reveal a drop down menu.
Select "My Schedule" from the list.
You will see all of your shifts listed here on the calendar.
Use the < and > arrows above the calendar to move backwards or ahead in the calendar.
