VM376, VM476, VM632 - Deactivating Emerson's Avid Media Composer License

Avid Media Composer licenses granted for use during VM376, 476, and 632 must be returned at the end of the semester. Failure to do so will result in a hold on your account which could prevent future reservations of Emerson facilities and equipment.

Spring 2021 licenses must be returned by Monday, May 10th.

Deactivation Instructions

In order to deactivate your license, open the Avid Link application. After you launch Avid Link, you may still have to locate the triangle logo in your menu bar and click "show" for the window to open.

Inside Avid link, navigate to the "Products" tab on the left. Open the dropdown menu next to Media Composer Ultimate and select "License"
Click the drop-down arrow next to "activated" to reveal the "Deactivate" button. Go ahead and click "deactivate." This may take several minutes to load properly - please be patient. Do not interrupt.
Once you've finished these steps you will be brought back to the license activation prompt. Follow the instruction below to return your checkout with Post Production.

IMPORTANT: Proof of De-Activation to complete Software Checkout
